In applying and construing the Uniform Athlete Agents Act, consideration shall be given to the need to promote uniformity of the law with respect to its subject matter among states that enact it. History: Laws 2009, ch. 169, § 18. ANNOTATIONSEffective dates. — Laws 2009, ch. 169, § 21 made the Uniform Athlete Agents Act effective July 1, 2009. Severability. — Laws 2009, ch. 169, § 20 provided that if any provision of the Uniform Athlete Agents Act or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of that act that can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of that act are severable.
