The provisions of the Uniform Athlete Agents Act governing the legal effect, validity or enforceability of electronic records or signatures, and of contracts formed or performed with the use of such records or signatures, conform to the requirements of Section 102 of the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act and supersede, modify and limit the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act. Effective dates. — Laws 2009, ch. 169, § 21 made the Uniform Athlete Agents Act effective July 1, 2009. Severability. — Laws 2009, ch. 169, § 20 provided that if any provision of the Uniform Athlete Agents Act or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of that act that can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of that act are severable.
