A. A person who knowingly commits a violation of the Radiation Protection Act or a regulation promulgated pursuant to that act is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be sentenced to a term of imprisonment not to exceed three hundred sixty-four days or the payment of a fine not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or both. B. A person who knowingly makes a false statement, representation or certification in an application, record, report, plan or other document filed or required to be maintained pursuant to the Radiation Protection Act or any regulation promulgated pursuant to that act is guilty of a petty misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be sentenced to a term of imprisonment not to exceed six months or the payment of a fine not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or both.
