The 'tourism department' is created in the executive branch. The department shall be a cabinet department and shall consist of, but not be limited to, six divisions as follows: A. the promotion division; B. the New Mexico magazine division; C. the sports authority division; D. the tourism development division; E. the marketing division; and F. the administrative services division. ANNOTATIONSThe 2007 amendment, effective June 15, 2007, changed the travel and marketing division to the promotion division and added Subsections C through E. Laws 2007, ch. 286, § 1 enacted identical amendments to this section. The section was set out as amended by Laws 2007, ch. 287, § 1. See 12-1-8 NMSA 1978. The 1995 amendment, effective July 1, 1995, substituted 'three' for 'two' preceding 'division' in the introductory language, added Subsection C and made minor stylistic changes in Subsections A and B.
