For present provisions, see 9-15-1 NMSA 1978 et seq. and 9-16-1 NMSA 1978 et seq. relating to new departments which have assumed many of the functions of the commerce and industry department. Compiler's notes. — Laws 1983, ch. 295, § 4, purported to amend 9-2-3 NMSA 1978, relating to the establishment of the commerce and industry department, but this amendment was not given effect due to the repeal of 9-2-3 NMSA 1978 by Laws 1983, ch. 297, § 33.
