1. Immediately after the execution an examination of the body of the convicted person shall be made by the licensed physicians present at the execution and their report in writing stating the nature of the examination and occurrence of death, so made by them, shall be annexed to the certificate provided for in subdivision two of this section and filed therewith. 2. The commissioner shall prepare and sign a certificate setting forth the time and place of the execution and stating that the execution was conducted in conformity to the sentence of the court and the provisions of this article. The commissioner shall cause the certificate to be filed, within ten days after the execution, with the office of clerk of the court in which the conviction was had. 3. The commissioner may appoint a deputy with the department to execute the warrant of execution and to perform all other duties imposed upon the commissioner under this article.
