1. The annual organizational meeting of the board of education of every union free school district shall be held on the first Tuesday in July of each year, unless said day shall be a legal holiday, in which event it shall fall on the first Wednesday in July.\n2. The board of education may, however, by resolution, determine that the annual meeting be held at any time during the first fifteen days in the month of July.
