As used in this article the term: 1. 'Appraiser' shall mean any person or persons, firm, partnership, corporation or association or any officer, director, employee or agent thereof who purports to ascertain and state the true value of property. 2. 'Property' shall mean jewelry, watches, and objects made from or containing precious stones or metals. 'Precious stones' shall be limited to diamonds, alexandrite, cymophane, ruby, sapphire, opal, amethyst, smoky quartz, citrine, rose quartz, spinel, malachite, turquoise, emerald, aquamarine, morganite, garnet, lapis lazuli, jadeite, kunzite, topaz, tourmaline, zircon, amber, jet, pearl, coral, tanzanite. 'Precious metals' shall be limited to gold, silver, platinum, iridium, ruthenium, osmium, or any alloys of any one or more of said metals.
