(a) An insurer shall not cancel an existing motor vehicle insurance policy solely on the basis that the motor vehicle covered by the insurance policy has been made available pursuant to a peer-to-peer car sharing program in compliance with article forty of the general business law.\n(b) The definitions set forth in section three thousand four hundred fifty-eight of this article shall apply to this section.
