In this article: (a) 'Basic kinds of insurance' means the kinds of insurance described in the following paragraphs of subsection (a) of section one thousand one hundred thirteen of this chapter numbered therein as set forth in parentheses below:\nfire (4);\nburglary and theft (7);\nglass (8);\nboiler and machinery (9);\nelevator (10);\nanimal (11);\npersonal injury liability (13);\nproperty damage liability (14) - basic as to stock companies only;\nworkers' compensation and employers' liability (15);\nfidelity and surety (16);\ncredit (17);\nmarine and inland marine (20);\nmarine protection and indemnity (21) - basic as to mutual companies only;\nbusiness interruption insurance (34).\n(b) 'Non-basic kinds of insurance' means the kinds of insurance described in the following paragraphs of subsection (a) of section one thousand one hundred thirteen of this chapter numbered therein as set forth in parentheses below:\naccident and health (item (i) of (3));\nnon-cancellable disability (item (ii) of (3));\nmiscellaneous property (5);\nwater damage (6);\ncollision (12);\nproperty damage liability (14) - non-basic as to mutual companies only;\nmotor vehicle and cancellable disability (item (ii) of (3));\nmiscellaneous property (5);\nwater damage (6);\ncollision (12);\nproperty damage liability (14) - non-basic as to mutual companies only;\nmotor vehicle and aircraft physical damage (19);\ninland marine as specified in marine and inland marine (20);\nmarine protection and indemnity (21) - non-basic as to stock companies only;\nresidual value (22);\ncredit unemployment (24);\ngap (26);\nprize indemnification (27);\nservice contract reimbursement (28);\nlegal services insurance (29);\ninvoluntary unemployment insurance (30);\nsalary protection insurance (31);\ndonor medical expense insurance (32);\nexcess business disability insurance (33);\nparametric insurance (34).
