The town board may make, adopt and enforce rules, orders and regulations for the government, discipline, administration and disposition of the police department and of the members thereof. Such rules and regulations and all amendments thereto shall be in writing and shall be posted in a conspicuous place in the police headquarters. Each member of the department shall receive a copy thereof and of all amendments thereto.
