\nThe following definitions apply in this Article:\n(1) Reserved for future codification purposes.\n(2) Child. – A person less than 18 years of age who has not been emancipated pursuant to Article 35 of Chapter 7B of the General Statutes.\n(3) Reserved for future codification purposes.\n(4) Reserved for future codification purposes.\n(5) Parent. – A person who has legal custody of a child, including a natural parent, adoptive parent, or legal guardian.\n(6) State. – The State, any of its political subdivisions, or any public school unit.
