\nFor purposes of this Chapter, the term 'legislator' as defined in G.S. 120C-100(7) and the term 'public servant' as defined in G.S. 138A-3(30)a. shall include an individual having filed a notice of candidacy for such office under G.S. 163-106 or Article 11 of Chapter 163 of the General Statutes or nominated under G.S. 163-114 or G.S. 163-98.
