\nAs used in this Article, unless otherwise specified:\n(1) 'Long-term care facility' means a nursing home as defined in G.S. 131E-101(6) and an adult care home as defined in G.S. 131D-2.1(3) or G.S. 131E-101(4).\n(2) 'Resident' means a person who has been admitted to a long-term care facility.\n(3) 'Respondent' means the person or entity holding a license pursuant to G.S. 131E-102 or G.S. 131D-2.4 or a person or entity operating a long-term care facility subject to licensure without a license.
