\n(a) This Article shall be known as the 'Hospital Licensure Act.'\n(b) The purpose of this article is to establish hospital licensing requirements which promote public health, safety and welfare and to provide for the development, establishment and enforcement of basic standards for the care and treatment of patients in hospitals.
