\n(a) This Part shall be known as the 'Ambulatory Surgical Facility Licensure Act.'\n(b) The purpose of this Part is to provide for the development, establishment and enforcement of basic standards:\n(1) For the care and treatment of individuals in ambulatory surgical facilities; and\n(2) For the maintenance and operation of ambulatory surgical facilities so as to ensure safe and adequate treatment of such individuals in ambulatory surgical facilities.
