\n(a) This Part shall be known as the 'Abortion Clinic Licensure Act.'\n(b) The purpose of this Part is to provide for the development, establishment, and enforcement of basic standards:\n(1) For the care and treatment of individuals in abortion clinics; and\n(2) For the maintenance and operation of abortion clinics so as to ensure safe and adequate treatment of such individuals in abortion clinics.
