\nThe following definitions apply in this Part, unless otherwise specified:\n(1) Abortion clinic. – A freestanding facility, that is neither physically attached nor operated by a hospital, for the performance of abortions during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.\n(2) Commission. – The North Carolina Medical Care Commission.\n(3) Operating room. – A room used for the performance of surgical procedures requiring one or more incisions and that is required to comply with all applicable licensure codes and standards for an operating room.
