\nAll annual salaries shall be paid at least monthly and may be paid twice a month, every two weeks, or weekly. A unit of State government whose payroll is processed through the central payroll disbursing account of the Office of the State Controller must obtain the approval of the State Controller to pay annual salaries on any basis other than a monthly basis.
