Effective: April 12, 2021 Latest Legislation: House Bill 473 - 133rd General Assembly Any official seal acquired on or after March 1, 2003, shall contain the official coat of arms of the state as described in section 5.04 of the Revised Code and surrounded by the appropriate words. Prior to that date, any official seal authorized by statute is valid for all purposes. The official motto of the state, as described in section 5.06 of the Revised Code, may be displayed alongside any seal described in this section.
