Effective: June 27, 2005 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 124 - 126th General Assembly The oath of office of senators and representatives; the president and president pro tempore of the senate; the speaker and speaker pro tempore of the house of representatives; the clerk of the senate, the chief administrative officer and the clerk of the house of representatives, and their assistants; and the sergeant at arms and assistant sergeant at arms of each house may be administered by a member, by a former presiding officer of either house of the general assembly, or by a person authorized to administer oaths.
