Effective: October 3, 2023 Latest Legislation: House Bill 33 - 135th General Assembly (A) The attorney general, upon request of the steering committee, or on the attorney general's own initiative, shall begin proceedings against a telephone company that is a wireline service provider to enforce compliance with this chapter or with the terms, conditions, requirements, or specifications of a final plan as to wireline or wireless 9-1-1. (B) The attorney general, upon the attorney general's own initiative, or any prosecutor, upon the prosecutor's initiative, shall begin proceedings against a subdivision or a regional council of governments as to wireline or wireless 9-1-1 to enforce compliance with this chapter or with the terms, conditions, requirements, or specifications of a final plan as to wireline or wireless 9-1-1.
