Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly Before the release and discharge provided in section 131.18 of the Revised Code is effected, the board of county commissioners, board of township trustees, legislative authority of the municipal corporation or board of education shall find that the treasurer or clerk was entrusted by law with the care of public funds, and that the loss thereof was not occasioned by his fault or negligence, and an entry of such findings shall be made upon the record book of the proceedings of such legislative authority or board.
