Effective: September 29, 2011 Latest Legislation: House Bill 153 - 129th General Assembly There is hereby created in each county free public library, municipal free public library, township free public library, school district free public library as described in section 3375.15 of the Revised Code, county library district, and regional library district a library records commission composed of the members and the fiscal officer of the board of library trustees of the appropriate public library or library district. The commission shall meet at least once every twelve months. The functions of the commission shall be to review applications for one-time disposal of obsolete records and schedules of records retention and disposition submitted by any employee of the library. The commission may dispose of records pursuant to the procedure outlined in section 149.381 of the Revised Code. The commission, at any time, may review any schedule it has previously approved and, for good cause shown, may revise that schedule under the procedure outlined in that section.
