Effective: August 8, 1980 Latest Legislation: House Bill 272 - 113th General Assembly Any provision in a retail installment contract or in any other agreement that is executed on or after August 1, 1980, by which a buyer in connection with a consumer transaction agrees not to assert any defenses against a seller, or the seller's assignee or transferee, is void, and the courts have no jurisdiction to enforce any such provision.
