Effective: October 8, 1992 Latest Legislation: House Bill 167 - 119th General Assembly The chief of the division of forestry may take such action as is necessary to provide for the prevention and control of forest fires in groups of districts and, with the approval of the director of natural resources, may enter into an agreement with the secretary of agriculture of the United States under authority of the act of congress of March 1, 1911, 36 Stat. 961, or acts amendatory or supplementary thereto or others having a similar purpose, for the protection of forested watersheds of navigable streams in this state.
