Effective: October 29, 1995 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 162 - 121st General Assembly In gaseous mines or portions of mines as defined by section 1563.02 of the Revised Code, a sufficient number of shot firers shall be employed. The shot firer shall charge, tamp, and fire all holes properly placed, and refuse to charge any holes not properly placed. Whenever such shot firers are required to be employed, it shall be unlawful for any one other than a shot firer to charge, tamp, or fire any blast within such mine.No owner, lessee, or agent, or operator of a mine shall violate this section.
