Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly Any representative body creating a corporation under section 1715.18 of the Revised Code may provide a constitution, not inconsistent with the statement provided for in such section, or with the law of this state, for the government of such corporation, and may amend such constitution; may determine the number and limit the terms of the members of the chapter or trustees; may provide for and designate a certain number or proportion of ex officio members of the chapter or trustees; may provide for a certain number or proportion of members or trustees to be elected or designated ex officio by other congregations, or bodies, of the same religious denomination in the same diocese or ecclesiastical territory, in addition to the members or trustees to be elected by said representative body itself, said additional classes of members or trustees not constituting a majority of the whole chapter or board, and having otherwise the same qualifications as those elected by said representative body itself; and may determine the ratio of clerical to lay membership upon such chapter or board. apter or board, and having otherwise the same qualifications as those elected by said representative body itself; and may determine the ratio of clerical to lay membership upon such chapter or board.
