Effective: October 22, 1969 Latest Legislation: House Bill 373 - 108th General Assembly Any court of record may appoint an auctioneer licensed under Chapter 4707. of the Revised Code to conduct any public auction of goods, chattels, or lands required to be sold by an officer of the court. Such auctioneer shall receive such compensation and reimbursement for the expenses of advertising such public auction as the court finds reasonable and proper. Such compensation and advertising expenses shall be charged as costs in the action or proceeding in which such sale is ordered.
