Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly After the arrest of the defendant pursuant to section 2713.07 of the Revised Code, if he escapes or is rescued, or bail is not taken or is adjudged insufficient, or a deposit is not made, the sheriff shall be liable as bail; but he may discharge himself from liability by putting in sufficient bail before judgment.
