Effective: October 25, 1995 Latest Legislation: House Bill 61 - 121st General Assembly As soon as possible after the appointment of the initial members, a county transit board shall organize for the transaction of business, elect a vice-chairman and secretary and prescribe their duties, designate a fiscal officer who need not be a member of the board, and adopt bylaws, rules, and regulations to govern its proceedings. Thereafter the board shall hold regular meetings at least once every month. Special meetings may be called by the chairman, or at the request of any two members. All meetings shall be open to the public and the board shall keep full and accurate minutes of its proceedings, and minutes of its proceedings shall be maintained as a public record. A majority of the board shall constitute a quorum for the contract of business at its meetings. The board shall act by resolution and a concurrence of four members shall be sufficient for action by the board.
