Effective: October 30, 1989 Latest Legislation: House Bill 230 - 118th General Assembly The board of county commissioners, upon the petition of one hundred or more resident taxpayers and qualified voters of the county, the approval of the court of common pleas of the county, and a favorable vote of the electors in accordance with section 133.18 of the Revised Code, may issue bonds for the purpose of assisting the construction of the canal or waterway mentioned in section 307.67 of the Revised Code. The board may sell such bonds as provided by sections 133.29 to 133.33 of the Revised Code, and pay the proceeds to the proper state or federal authority constructing the canal or waterway.
