Effective: August 10, 1961 Latest Legislation: House Bill 91 - 104th General Assembly The board of county commissioners may maintain and operate a zoological park, or it may contract with or contribute to any nonprofit corporation organized to encourage the study and promote the sciences of natural history, to maintain and operate a zoological park, to develop such park, and to provide for the acquisition, disposition, and care of the animals to be exhibited therein.
