Effective: March 30, 2006 Latest Legislation: House Bill 530 - 126th General Assembly A board of county commissioners may maintain and operate a facility to encourage the study of and promote the sciences and natural history, or it may contract with or contribute to a nonprofit corporation to develop, maintain, and operate such a facility if the nonprofit corporation is organized, in whole or in part, for the purpose of encouraging the study of and to promote the sciences and natural history.
