Effective: January 30, 2014 Latest Legislation: House Bill 72 - 130th General Assembly The county recorder may appoint deputies to aid in the performance of the county recorder's duties. Such an appointment or removal shall be in writing and filed with the county treasurer. The county recorder and the recorder's sureties shall be responsible for the deputies' neglect of duty or misconduct in office. Before entering upon the discharge of their duties, the deputies shall take the oath of office as prescribed in section 317.02 of the Revised Code.
