Effective: March 22, 2001 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 180 - 123rd General Assembly The department of job and family services shall enter into an agreement with the secretary of health and human services, as authorized by the 'Parental Kidnapping Prevention Act of 1980,' 94 Stat. 3572, 42 U.S.C. 663, as amended, under which the services of the parent locater service established pursuant to Title IV-D of the 'Social Security Act,' 88 Stat. 2351 (1975), 42 U.S.C. 651, as amended, are made available to this state for the following purposes:(A) Determining the whereabouts of any absent parent or child in order to enforce a law with respect to the unlawful taking or restraint of a child;(B) Making or enforcing a determination as to the allocation, between the parents of a child, of the parental rights and responsibilities for the care of a child and the designation of the residential parent and legal custodian of a child or otherwise as to the custody of a child;(C) Making or enforcing a parenting time order with respect to a child.
