Effective: January 3, 1956 Latest Legislation: House Bill 212 - 101st General Assembly The superintendent of public instruction shall serve as secretary to the state board of education, and shall attend all meetings of the board, or designate a subordinate to attend for him if he is unable to be present, except at such times as the board is considering the employment, retention, or salary of the superintendent of public instruction.
