Effective: July 1, 2014 Latest Legislation: House Bill 59 - 130th General Assembly The school year shall begin on the first day of July of each calendar year and close on the thirtieth day of June of the succeeding calendar year. A school week shall consist of five days. A chartered nonpublic school may be open for instruction with pupils in attendance on any day of the week, including Saturday or Sunday.
