Effective: April 8, 2003 Latest Legislation: House Bill 364 - 124th General Assembly No board of education of a city, exempted village, or local school district shall offer a monetary payment or other in-kind gift to any student or such student's parent or guardian as an incentive for that student to enroll in a school operated by the district. The prohibition in this section shall not apply to any books, supplies, equipment, or other goods that are necessary to enable a student to participate fully in the course of instruction provided by the district.
