Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly A tax equal to the state tax upon like property shall be levied and collected upon all lands donated to the Ohio university, and held by lease from it or by deed from the governor or the university, including such parts of such lands as are, or may be, owned, occupied, or used by railroad companies as roadbeds, roadways, station houses, or for other purposes. Such taxes, when collected, shall be paid by the county treasurer of Athens county, upon the warrant of the county auditor, to the treasurer of the Ohio university, for its use.
