§ 3345.023

Effective: September 29, 2011 Latest Legislation: House Bill 153 - 129th General Assembly (A) No state institution of higher education shall take any action or enforce any policy that would deny a religious student group any benefit available to any other student group based on the religious student group's requirement that its leaders or members adhere to its sincerely held religious beliefs or standards of conduct. (B) As used in this section:(1) 'Benefits' include, without limitation:(a) Recognition;(b) Registration;(c) The use of facilities of the state institution of higher education for meetings or speaking purposes, subject to section 3345.021 of the Revised Code;(d) The use of channels of communication of the state institution of higher education;(e) Funding sources that are otherwise available to any other student group in the state institution of higher education.(2) 'State institution of higher education' has the same meaning as in section 3345.011 of the Revised Code.
