Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly In any township where a public library has been created by a vote of the electors thereof, prior to September 4, 1947, the board of township trustees may, annually, levy upon all the taxable property of such township a tax not exceeding one mill on the dollar valuation thereof to maintain such library and to procure suitable rooms therefor.
