Effective: July 30, 1979 Latest Legislation: House Bill 204 - 113th General Assembly The Ohio arts council may:(A) Within the limits of available funds, employ and fix the compensation of a staff director and such other personnel as will facilitate the work of the council. The staff director shall serve at the pleasure of the council, and other employees shall serve at the pleasure of the director.(B) Establish and appoint members to advisory committees to advise and assist it in the performance of its functions, and it may, within the limits of available funds, contract with such consultants as may facilitate its work.(C) Adopt such rules as are necessary for administration of Chapter 3379. of the Revised Code.(D) Award and administer grants to carry out the purposes of this chapter.
