Effective: October 6, 1994 Latest Legislation: House Bill 571 - 120th General Assembly The health commissioner of a city or general health district may make frequent inspection of all county homes, children's homes, workhouses, jails, or other charitable, benevolent, or correctional institutions in the district, including physical examination of the inmates whenever necessary, and may make laboratory examinations of inmates as requested by any state or county official having jurisdiction over an institution.
