Effective: March 19, 2003 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 115 - 124th General Assembly The fire marshal or an assistant fire marshal may administer an oath to any person appearing as a witness before the fire marshal or assistant fire marshal. No witness shall refuse to be sworn, refuse to testify, disobey an order of the fire marshal or an assistant fire marshal, or fail or refuse to produce a book, paper, document, or record, regardless of physical form or characteristic, concerning a matter under examination, or be guilty of contemptuous conduct after being summoned by the fire marshal or an assistant fire marshal to appear before the fire marshal or assistant fire marshal to give testimony in relation to a matter or subject under investigation.
