Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly No company or association transacting the business of life insurance on the assessment plan, other than fraternal beneficiary associations, shall do business within this state, except those companies which, as of August 9, 1913, are authorized to do business within this state and which value their assessment policies or certificates of membership as yearly renewable term policies, according to the standard of valuation of life insurance policies prescribed by the laws of this state.
