Effective: April 12, 2004 Latest Legislation: House Bill 282 - 125th General Assembly The medical liability underwriting association may offer policyholders the option of being liable as a co-insurer on sums paid out by way of settlement or judgment against the policyholder on any claim made under the policy. The medical liability underwriting association has sole authority to settle any claim subject to the co-insurance option without the consent of the insured. The plan of operation shall set forth the terms and conditions of the optional co-insurance coverage.
