Effective: June 30, 1993 Latest Legislation: House Bill 154 - 120th General Assembly There is hereby created in the state treasury the traffic safety fund. The fund shall consist of money received by the department of public safety from the federal government under the federal 'Highway Safety Act of 1966,' 80 Stat. 731, 23 U.S.C.A. 402, as amended, money from other federal sources, including federal money passed through other state agencies, and state match money made available by the general assembly. The fund shall be used to operate the federal highway safety program. All investment earnings of the fund shall be credited to the fund.
