Effective: August 21, 1997 Latest Legislation: House Bill 224 - 122nd General Assembly Owners and lessees of motor vehicles who are residents of this state and hold an unrevoked and unexpired official amateur radio station license or commercial radio broadcasting station or commercial television broadcasting station license issued by the federal communications commission, upon application, accompanied by proof of ownership of such license, upon complying with the motor vehicle laws relating to registration and licensing of motor vehicles, and upon payment of the regular license fee, as prescribed under sections 4503.04 and 4503.10 of the Revised Code, and the payment of an additional fee of ten dollars, which shall be for the purpose of compensating the bureau of motor vehicles for additional services required in the issuing of license plates under this section, shall be issued a validation sticker and license plates, or a validation sticker alone when required by section 4503.191 of the Revised Code, for passenger cars and other vehicles of a class approved by the registrar.
