Effective: October 1, 1953 Latest Legislation: House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly If an owner's registration has been suspended under sections 4509.01 to 4509.78, inclusive, of the Revised Code, such registration shall not be transferred nor the motor vehicle registered in any other name unless the registrar of motor vehicles is satisfied that such transfer of registration is proposed in good faith and not for the purpose or with the effect of defeating the purposes of such sections. This section does not affect the rights of any chattel mortgagee, conditional vendor, or lessor of a motor vehicle registered in the name of another as owner who becomes subject to sections 4509.01 to 4509.78, inclusive, of the Revised Code.
